The server pack merges three community resource packs into one seamless download:

Faithful 64x

Higher-resolution textures (64x64 per block face vs. vanilla's 16x16) that stay true to Minecraft's art style. Everything looks sharper and more detailed without feeling unfamiliar.

Fresh Animations

Adds dynamic, fluid animations to mobs and players. Zombies shamble, skeletons stagger, villagers gesture while talking. Brings the world to life.

FA Patch for Faithful 64x

Compatibility layer that makes Fresh Animations work correctly with Faithful textures. Without this, some mob models would have texture mismatches.

FAQ

Is the resource pack required?

No. It's offered when you join but you can decline. The server works perfectly fine with vanilla textures.

Do I need OptiFine for the textures?

The Faithful 64x textures work without any client mods. OptiFine (or EMF/ETF on Fabric) is only needed for the Fresh Animations component to display the custom mob animations.

Why is it 50MB?

64x textures are 16 times larger than vanilla's 16x textures per face. Combined with the animation models, it adds up. Your client only downloads it once and caches it.

Can I use my own resource pack instead?

Yes. Decline the server pack on join and use whatever you like. Just no x-ray packs — that's a ban.
